RSVSR Why GTA 5 Has No True Unlimited Ammo Cheat Code

Message par Hartmann846 »

You'll hear it all the time in GTA V: "What's the infinite ammo cheat?" And yeah, it'd be handy when the cops won't let up and you're burning through rifle mags like they're free. But the game never shipped with a proper, locked-on unlimited ammo code. If you're trying to keep your run chaotic without constantly restocking, stuff like GTA 5 Money gets talked about for a reason, but in pure vanilla Story Mode, you're still stuck working around Rockstar's limits.

What Rockstar Actually Gives You
The closest thing is the "give weapons and ammo" cheat. On PC, you can pop the console and enter TOOLUP, or just use the phone and dial 1-999-866-587. It dumps a full loadout into your hands and tops your ammo up to the max. It feels like you've broken the game for a second. Then you reload a few times, a helicopter shows up, and you watch those numbers drop like normal. When you're empty again, you're not "infinite," you're just re-entering the cheat. Most players end up treating it like a pit stop: duck behind cover, punch it in, get back to business.

Make Each Shot Matter
If you want more punch instead of more bullets, explosive ammo is the fun one. On PC it's HIGHEX, and it turns basic gunfire into little bursts that flip cars and shred enemies fast. It doesn't solve the "running out" problem, but it changes how you fight. You stop spraying. You tap-fire. You aim at tyres, door panels, gas tanks. Suddenly a small magazine feels like a whole toolbox. The chase vibe shifts too, because you're not trying to outlast the police, you're trying to create space and disappear.

The Cheat Trade-Off and the Real Infinite Option
There's always a catch: once you activate cheats, achievements and trophies are off for that session. So if you care about completion, keep a clean save and don't mix your "mess around" file with your serious progress. And if you truly want ammo that never ticks down, that's not a cheat code thing at all—it's trainers and mods on PC. Keep it in Story Mode, because taking any of that online is asking for trouble. If you're more into boosting your single-player fun in safer ways, some players also use marketplaces like RSVSR to buy game currency or items and skip the grind, then leave the wild cheat stuff for offline play.
